Our new practice

The team at Ezekiel Eyes is delighted to be entering a new era.

In early August 2010 we moved into a brand new (well, newly renovated) practice in Nedlands and introduced a new name and logo.

But that’s really all that changed. Our team of dedicated professionals has remained the same, as has our commitment to doing everything we can to ensure our patients experience optimal eye health.

New Practice

Our new practice is located at 69 Hampden Road, Nedlands, in the heart of what is set to become Perth’s new medical hub. With the potential move of the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and King Edward Memorial Hospital to the QEII Medical Centre campus, and the proximity of Hollywood Private Hospital and a broad range of health specialists in the neighbourhood, Hampden Road is fast becoming a focus for healthcare needs.

Add to that the ambience of Hampden Road, with its bustling cafes and unique shops and boutiques, and you’ll see why we thought Hampden Road was a great place to be based!

Our new practice features free patient car parking at the rear of the building, with entry off Gordon Street. In addition, there is free four-hour parking along Gordon Street. The practice is conveniently located on public bus routes.

We decided to change our name to Ezekiel Eyes in recognition of the exciting new era for the business.

Ezekiel Optometrists was an iconic third-generation practice in West Perth for more than 35 years. Read about the history of Ezekiel Optometrists.

"Dear Patient

If you have kerataconus, a progressive eye condition in which the cornea thins and becomes cone-shaped and irregular rather than spherical, it is extremely critical that you find a solution that can correct blurry, distorted vision in a comfortable, healthy and convenient way.

I am very proud to announce that I have been selected as one of only a handful of optometrists in Australia to begin prescribing a revolutionary new kind of contact lens. This is a brand new, hybrid contact lens designed by SynergEyes called ClearKone.

ClearKone utilises revolutionary hybrid technology, combining the best of both worlds. it provides crisp vision of a high oxygen rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lens with the all day comfort and convenience of a soft contact lens.

Whether you have an early, moderate or advanced stage of kerataconus, there is now another option available; a custom designed contact lens offering the advantage of both soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses without any of the disadvantages.

Now is the time to contact me to review your contact lens requirements.

It gives me great pleasure to help my patients enjoy excellent vision, comfort and an overall improvement in their overall quality of life.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

To your health,

Cheers

Damon."

"Dear Patients

What an amazing start to the year!

Our clinical study is well and truly underway and we are pleased to have signed up the required number of 26 patients. It is very exciting for Ezekiel Eyes because there are seven sites involved in the study - three in Norway, three in Holland and Ezekiel Eyes in Australia. This is an Australian first and we are very proud to be working with our sponsor Alcom Australia in evaluating the new Opti-Free EverMoist Multipurpose Disinfecting Solution.

The unique make-up of Opti-Free EverMoist includes the added ingredient of Hydraglyde that brings with it water to keep the contact lens wet for longer - in fact up to 16 hours wetter.

In late February, I went to Melbourne to co-conuct a two-day workshop for 55 optometrists. One day involved training the optometrists in the new Opti-Free EverMoist and the other day was spent training them on Systane Balance.

Systane Balance is an amazing dry eye drop for patients who have Meibomian Gland Disfunction (MGD). If you have dry eyes then I am more than happy to evaluate your eyes. The important point with dry eyes is the diagnosis. Are your dry eyes due to a deficiency in aqueous (water) component in the tears, or lipid (oil) component in your tears? This diagnosis is easy enough to do, so if you are unsure as to which tear supplement you require please let me diagnose your condition. Systane Balance is now available at our practice.

Opti-Free EverMoist is also available at Ezekiel Eyes right now. There are very few practices stocking Opti-Free EverMoist at the moment as it is so new, so if you want what is best for your soft contact lenses then pop in and purchase a Savings Pack of Opti-Free EverMoist.

If you have any queries about any product or your eyes, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at info@ezekieleyes.com, or phone (08) 9386 3620 or fax (08) 9389 6124.

We are delighted that we are at the forefront of new products and are able to bring to our patients world-leading solutions and contact lenses.

Cheers,

Damon."
